Background noise was covered up in a masterful way with the beautiful strains of some old Canadian vinyl - specifically the Jazz group Contrevent from their offering titled Jeu de Paume. I promised you I would determine what Paume is in English - many thanks to our resident Francophone Chantal who tells me Paume is palm of hand, ergo the title of the vinyl in English is Game of Palm or Palm Game. The group's name Contrevent incidentally means Counter Wind.
