Playlist for 12-February-13

Today I featured the new CD/musical tome from Corin Raymond and the Sundowners, Paper Nickels. This CD caper was almost entirely funded by Canadian Tire money ... you can't get much more Canadian than that. But of course, the show - like Corin's new CD - also featured a lot of awesome Canadian musicians, songwriters and producers. Here's the list of what we heard today:
AA Sound System, Laissez Faire, I Don't Get You At All;
Ariana Gillis, To Make It Make Sense, Deep Blueberry Ocean Delight;
Carrie Day, Immaculate Night, Perfect Love;
Twin Library, Lowways, Abandon Everyone;
Corin Raymond & the Sundowners, Paper Nickels, Ol' Fort Mac;
Scott Cook, This One's On the House, The Ramblin' Kind;
Kim Beggs, Wanderer's Paean, Heartache Shoes;
Corin Raymond & the Sundowners, Paper Nickels, If I Were You Instead of Me;
Curtis Nowasad, The Skeptic & The Cynic, The Skeptic & The Cynic;
The Jim Brenan Quartet, January, Fin Fang Foom!;
Sunday Wilde, He Gave Me a Blue Nightgown, Blue Spirit Blues;
Kirby Sewell Band, Bought Myself a Hammer, I Love To Watch You Walk Away;
Steve Dawson, Telescope, Nailbiter;
Corin Raymond & the Sundowners, Paper Nickels, Blues Mama;
Dirty Inputs, Many Earths, Solid Star;
James Danderfer Presents, The Hummingbird Brigade, Joy in the Streets;
The Uncas, Drop the Ball, That Time on the Plow;
The Pernell Reichert Band, Highway of Tears, Fishnet Stockings;
Corin Raymond & the Sundowners, Paper Nickels, Bucket of Things;
Nick Everett & Everybody, Elsethings, Bridge;
Corin Raymond, There Will Always Be a Small Time, The Lonely One;

Background music provided by two artists on some wonderful old vinyl: Side A of June Katz's Lulu's Back in Town! LP and Face 1 of Gaston Brisson's Corridor LP.

You can still pitch in on Paper Nickels by sending your Canadian Tire Money to Corin at:

Another great and inexpensive way to support the Canadian music economy! What's the other way? Why ... listening to Put R in D for Dangle, on CJSR of course! Thanks for listening!
