One thing we will never lack is awesome Canadian tunes - as always, many thanks to the dedication of the Canadian musicians who offer up their CDs and vinyl for us to fill the air waves:

Here is who we sampled today:

A Tribe Called Red, Nation II Nation, Bread & Cheese;
Diamond Mind, Fake Tape, Closed Circuit;
Monkey Junk, All Frequencies, Yearnin' for Yesterday;
Kinnie Starr, Kiss It, Home is Everywhere;
Nap Eyes, Whine of the Mystic, Oh My Friends;
Free Judges, Above the Dust and a Little Below the Angels, Tip of the Spear;
Crissi Cochrane, Little Sway, Nobody's Bird;
Poppy Seed and the Love Explosion, Beyond the Seventh Sun, Saw You Outside;
Poppy Seed and the Love Explosion, Beyond the Seventh Sun, Melt Away;
Kim Beggs, Blue Bones, Longest Dream;
Van Funk, 13, Contagious Sound;
Casper Hollands, Seven Pieces, Polka Dot Dress;
Jeff Presslaff, The Complete Rebirth of the Cool, Sincerely Ours;
Rachel Nightingale, Rachel Nightingale, Just You Just Me;
Sugar Brown's Sad Day, Sugar Brown's Sad Day, 2 O'Clock;
Corin Raymond & the Sundowners, Paper Nickels, Bucket of Time;

Two wonderful pieces of Canadian vinyl kept us company in the background; from the Jazz stacks, The Rick Morrison Project and his self-titled Mini-LP as well as the Ted Moses Quintet from a selection that was put out as part of the CBC Transcription series titled Sidereal Time. Both excellent samples of the historically healthy Canadian Jazz scene.

Don't forget - you'll have to double park your boots at the front door; that is, your winter boots right beside your rubber boots. The big melt is upon us! Happy spring!
